The Power of Education
A local guide who is already living for more than fourty years in Woodstock took us on an inspiring tour through his area and explained the meaning of the various art pieces to us. He’s the person who initiated this street art project in order to keep kids “off the street” and to improve the general living situation. It is his aim to create a peaceful coexistence through art and to educate the younger generation. He holds the opinion that “education is power” – this is how he wants to aim for a better future. The money he raises through these tours solely benefits the community. Many local and international artists from all over the world came to Cape Town to help him with this project. So see for yourself and help this man to make a real difference.
